Willy might have been named the MVP of the event if we had one. He's a real strong 6'0/190 with big legs and lower half. He has a big plus arm from rightfield that we clocked at 93 mph. He doesn't run real well, but he's not slow. His instincts are very good. He could play rightfield very easily in pro ball. His bat plays large. In fact, he's one of the best hitters in his class. Nice balanced approach and plus bat speed out of a compact swing. He is a plus hit, plus power guy with a great swing. The ball comes off his bat like it were a golf ball. He also threw mid 80s from the mound with a good breaking ball. He's thrown in the 90s before. With his powerful arm, big left handed bat and good instincts, we can only wonder why he hasn't been behind the plate yet. His tools would put him in the 1st round as a catcher. That's if he was a good receiver, but why wouldn't he be? He is going to create some serious interest, even without the prototype body, lots of projection or great running speed. His other tools are to hard to ignore and standout in a big way. If he were a former major league star's son, it would definitely be first round.
