2022 West Academic Showcase (Wed-Thurs)
Justin Bried is a 2024 OF/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Good length to the frame with long limbs that bode well to physical projection. Ran a 7.07 in the 60-yard dash. Outfielder, charges with confidence with good intent. Fields it cleanly with promising arm strength that can develop as he grows into frame. Right-handed pitcher, directs toward the third base side from a high three-quarter delivery. Showcased a fastball in mid-to-high-70s and a developing 11-5 breaking ball with shape. Right-handed hitter, balanced posture and high hand set. Shows a level swing that works to all fields and demonstrated his ability to go the other way. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
