Garrett Mirel is a 2025 LHP with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Newbury Park, CA who attends Oaks Christian. Features a tall, high-waisted frame with plenty of room to add. Primary left-handed pitcher. Utilizes a slight drop and drive delivery that moves well down the mound. Showcased a fair amount of arm speed within the high 3/4 arm slot. Repeats the delivery well, allowing for plenty of strikes to be thrown with all three pitches. The fastball sat 71-76 mph with armside run. Has the ability to throw it to both sides of the plate. Gets ahead of hitters often with the offering. Paired it with a mid-60’s slider with sweeping action that has some swing and miss potential when thrown with conviction. Flashed a changeup at 68-70 mph with slight fading action. Quality arm speed deception generates some whiffs. Very good student, as well.
