Maxton Baracy is a 2030 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Santa Monica, CA. Tall and lean athletic build. 7.41 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder with a sound defensive skill set. Fields off his front foot, gathers cleanly and maintains momentum into release. Keeps good direction, takes good routes and produced accurate throws up to 81 mph during drills. Secondary left-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with deliberate pace, a belt high leg lift and medium stride out to front foot strike. Attacks the zone early with the fastball, worked steadily in the 73-77 mph range and peaked at 80 mph in this look from a segmented three-quarters arm slot. Flashed developing feel for spin that will continue to improve with minor mechanical refinements and additional velocity. Left-handed hitter that hits from a wider and slightly closed stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and negative toe-tap trigger. Whole field approach, slightly downhill swing path and developing bat speed. Best impact was to the opposite field, will improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
