Tim Harris is a 2008 LHP/1B/OF with a 6'0'', 215 lb. frame from Navasota, Texas, who attends Anderson-Shiro High School. Harris has a large frame with present strength in his body. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm action. Harris has good mechanics on the mound, and does a nice job using his lower half in his delivery. His arm works well with no limitations and he throws strikes with all his pitches. He gets arm side life on his fastball that topped out at 81 mph. Harris also mixes in a 2/8 curveball with depth at 66 mph and a 68 mph change-up. He has upside on mound. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance with a narrow base. He has strength in his swing, and he takes an aggressive swing. He gets leverage at the point of contact that helps give him projectable power. Harris shows bat speed that should allow him to catch up with higher velocity pitchers. He is a very good student.
