Ariel Brill is a 2008 RHP/3B with a 5'9", 135 lb frame from Brookline, Massachusetts, who attends Brookline HS. Ariel has a very lean build with lots of room to fill out. On the mound Ariel throws from a short arm circle and makes hitters put the ball in play. Ariel shows a 10 to 4 curveball, but really needs to pick up his velocity to pitch at the next level. At the plate Ariel has solid hitting fundamentals and squares up some pitches. He stays short to the ball and keeps his hands inside the ball. Once he gets quite a bit strong, Ariel has the tools to become a solid hitter. In the field Ariel has good hands and clean actions. He understands how to play the game, but lacks the arm strength to play anywhere but second base. Ariel is a good student that could attract the attention of a few smaller colleges.
