Joseph Coupland is a 2024 C/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Danville, CA who attends San Ramon Valley. Slender build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.89 seconds. Primary catcher, threw a 2.17 down to second base, has a narrow square set up with a quick transfer and release. Displayed strong accurate throws, with a long arm circle. From the mound, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a tall and fall delivery. The delivery has some slight crossfire deception. The fastball sat 77-80 mph with slight arm side run, threw a lot of strikes and attacked early. Located well to both sides of the plate, the ball gets on the hitters quickly creating a lot of swing and misses. At the plate, hits from a narrow open stance, the hands sit even with the shoulder. Consistently hit line drives up the middle, has a level swing that stays long through the zone with a line drive approach. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
