KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Afternoon Session
Ryann Sanders is a 5'10, class of 2024, RHP from Bella Vista, AR who attends Bentonville HS. Ryann is a gifted, strong, and projectable pitcher/hitter who shows big upside projectability. She ran a 3.57 20-yard dash with a 1.40 5-yard split. In the circle, Ryann is impressive. Her athleticism and twitch are noticeable. Her mechanical operation is college ready right now. Her arm action is quick and consistent and she can power the ball. Her fastball "sings" on the way to the plate. Big spin that is audible. Her FB sets up all of her other pitches. She works both edges with the FB and all quads and she has the ability to shape it any way she wants. Her screwball is a hard boring pitch that has a hint of drop late and runs really hard to the arm side edge. Her rise is a short, late jumper that moves. Curve is a tight spinning, late breaker that she works to the glove side edge with relative ease. Big lower half torque on the CB. Dives with break - late action. Change is highly deceptive. Thrown out of FB window. Big spin - and solid arm action. Big down component. Tumbles hard at the dish. She may eliminate a pitch or two as she hones her game, but she may keep them all. Regardless, she is college ready right now. At the plate, this RHH has a sound approach to hitting. She can bunt if called upon and shows an ability for the short game. As her career moves forward, she probably will not be asked to bunt much, if at all. She is at the dish to do damage. She has a "grip it and rip it" approach. She never gets cheated. She cuts it loose and has a definite feel for the barrel. She has an all-fields approach and noticeable power. Right idea. Big upside. Ryann, with just a bit more refinement to her already accomplished game, will be a top recruit when her time comes. She is a power player who has a sound understanding of her ability and plays that way. Highly impressive and projectable ability. High ceiling! Big upside!

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
