KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Afternoon Session
Teelie Super is a 5'8, class of 2023, C/3B from Bonner Springs, KS who attends Bonner Springs HS. Teelie is one of those "WOW" players! She is the kind of athletically gifted, noticeably strong, individuals that attracts attention. She is a top-flight, two position kid, who can flat out swing the bat. The moment never seems too big for her, either. Cool, calm disposition. Could never tell if she were nervous or not. "Wow"....She ran a 3.44 20-yard dash with a 1.17 5-yard split. She plays two positions, Catcher and Third Base, with equal, obviously elite, ability. On the infield, Teelie is a noticeably strong athlete with fluid movement. Her feet are quick and she positions well. Really reads the ball off the bat well. She plays with a commendable rhythm and timing to her actions. Her glovework is soft and smooth and she transitions quickly to a obviously strong and accurate arm. Her 58-mph throws are firm and hold their plane to the target. Sound corner IF prospect! She may be a real get for a program as a catcher. She has an easy set up and presents a low profile at the ready. Nothing is forced. Her actions flow easily from her comfortable stance. Her hands are soft and she is a true receiver of the ball. She has a noticeably quick arm operation and her 57-mph throws are spot-on accurate. Her 1.93 pop time is elite. Big upside college potential as a two-way defender. Where her biggest and most obvious projectability and potential presents itself, is at the plate. Although she may never be asked to bunt, she can handle the short game. One would expect that Teelie will find herself in the middle of someone's order, driving in runs. She is an accomplished hitter with a veteran's approach. She has a sound, balanced base and is strong through her core. She knows how to incorporate that strength into her swing, too. Her operation is elite. Her lower half triggers her strong upper half and she lets the barrel work. She has a flatter path with a slugger's lift at contact. Explosion! Loud contact with force!. The ball jumps from her barrel. The ball travels and when in sync there won't be many parks that can hold her. DI hitter, without question. Teelie is a certain prospect who has the talent to play at the highest levels. One could envision her starting as a freshman and never coming out of a line-up. Yes....she is that good. In our sport, NOTHING is a definite, but Teelie Super is close to it. Outstanding talent. Rare, positive disposition for a younger player. Truly a top prospect!
