Addison Brunner is a 5'9, class of 2023, OF/1B from Des Moines, IA who attends Southeast Polk HS. Addison is a polished upper class player who shows plus athleticism and a firm grasp of the fundamentals of the game. She ran a plus-average 3.27 20-yard dash with a sound 1.18 5-yard split. A primary outfielder, Addison has a measured, but certain approach to defense. She positions well and her glovework is routine. She transitions well and her strong, 58-mph throws are consistently accurate. Addison truly impressed at 1B. She has a noticeable comfort at this position. she plays with some ease of action here. Her quick feet work well. She has consistent actions to field and her glove work is smooth. She is quick to transition and her 50-mph throws and highly accurate. Solid effort on the dirt! At the plate, this LHH starts with a wider and more open base. She is especially good when she stays on pat. Noticeable whip with her lower hand. She has more of a pull side mentality and gets her barrel to and through contact well. There is some emerging power that should continue to develop over the course of her last two years of HS and travel ball. Addison has the skill set that should, with continued work and attention to detail, allow her to have to opportunity to play at the college level. Great effort! Plus actions and noticeable positive attitude!
