KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Afternoon Session
Jordyn Marsh is a 5'6, class of 2024, RHP/1B from New Prague, MN who attends New Prague HS. Jordyn is a young, up and coming player who shows certain skills that are college projectable now, and others that will be before she graduates. Solid, fundamentally sound ability. She ran a 4.00 20-yard dash with a 1.27 5-yard split. A primary RHP, Jordyn has a compact delivery that she repeats well. She has a clean arm action that helps in delivering her commendable four pitch mix. Her fastball shows admirable spin and is thrown to both edges of the plate. Her change up works well in combination with the FB and she works it down in the zone well. CH shows some drop component at the dish. Drop is a solid pitch with sound spin that she works to the arm side with conviction. Her curveball shows similar cation as the drop, but has a tad more break and is thrown to the glove side of the plate. Sound pitch mix that is only going to get better. Jordyn also took a round at first base and although this is not her primary position, she showed sound ability. Her footwork is measured and routine and she positions quite well. Her glove work is routine and she transitions well. Her 53-mph throws are routinely accurate. Jordyn has a great approach at the plate. She has a sound bunt game that could be a big part of her offense. She is fairly even and balanced at the ready and is short, quick, and direct to contact. Nothing forced, Very easy operation. Has a feel for the barrel and the ball jumps. Emerging power that is sure to improve as she moves through her career. Nice round!. Jordyn certainly has a chance at the next level if she continues on this course. Should she work in the weight room to get a little more agile and stronger, her game could really take off. Sound fundamental base with big upside potential. High ceiling!

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
