Vanessa Jackson is a 5'6, class of 2023 C/1B with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Edwards, IL. Vanessa is a fundamentally sound, veteran upper class player who has a well-rounded game that should have the opportunity to play at the next level. She ran a 3.59 20-yard dash with a 1.21 5-yard split. A primary catcher, Vanessa has a rare skill set. She is lefthanded. She handles this unique position quite well. It is quite obvious that she has done this before. She has a comfortable low profile at the ready and shows softer hands to receive. She has a consistent transition and her 50-mph throws are regularly accurate. Her 2.18 pop time is commendable. Vanessa also took a turn on the infield dirt at first base. Her has agile footwork and she positions well. Her glove is soft and sure and her 52-mph throws are firm and true. Solid defensive skills that can play at the next level. At the plate, this LHH has a balanced and slightly open stance at the ready. She stretches her hands to load and shows a slight coil to help trigger. Noticeable strength in her hands. She has a more pull side mindset. She has definite emerging power that could get even better. Her hitting style is unique, but it obviously works quite well for her. Vanessa is a fundamentally sound prospect. She has a veteran's poise and her skill level projects. Appreciate her effort! Prospect!

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
