Olivia Strelow is a 5-foot-5, class of 2025 2B from Waterloo, IA who attends Cedar Falls HS. Olivia is an up-and-coming athlete who has a sound fundamental foundation that should serve her well as her career continues. In addition to her emerging talent on the field, Olivia is also a standout student in the classroom! She ran a 6.15 40-yard dash and was timed at 4.06 from home to first. She also posted a 5'5 1/2 standing broad jump. A primary middle infielder, Olivia is a steady defender who shows sound reaction when fielding. Her glove plays well, and she transitions with routine effort. She is a very efficient thrower of the ball, and her short arm action allows her 52-mph throws to be routinely accurate. At the plate, Olivia shows a plus ability to bunt the ball. She starts with an even and balanced stance and displays a solid trigger to a flatter bat path that is more middle-of-the-field oriented. Her contact first approach is commendable and is a style that works well for her body type. Solid hitting operation. Olivia's current game is sound and will certainly have the possibility to continue to grow as she gains physical strength and is exposed to higher level competition. Her positive approach and body language says softball is important to Olivia. Her passion for the sport is palpable.
