Christian De La Cruz is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Nyack, NY who attends Nyack Senior. Medium, athletic frame with present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Righthanded pitcher, deliberate temp to delivery with a high leg lift up to belt, gets tall on backside, short and quick arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball jumps out of hand, topped out at 87 mph with some sinking life to it, mistimed with delivery coming down the mound, able to miss bats in the zone, projects with additional lower half drive down mound. Flashed a firm changeup that dove to arm side up to 80 mph, developing feel for curveball up to 69 mph. Maintained velocity on fastball well, components to project upon moving forward. Good student. Named to Fall Connecticut Top Prospect List.
