Grant Govel is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Rolling Hills Estates, CA who attends Palos Verdes. Medium to Large frame with a lean build showing room to fill out physically down the road. Ran a 7.18 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, smooth strides as he tracks the baseball down. Clean gather to the side and then shows urgency with transfers. Quick arm action with carry to the bag as he threw it 93 mph. Fundamentally sound with instincts as he covers plenty of ground and has a very strong arm. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, as he stays balanced throughout the operation and then does a nice job of driving down the mound while getting over his front side. Medium arm circle and then released from a high three-quarter slot. Smooth arm action that generates easy velocity. Works down in the zone and filled it up early in counts. Fastball up to 87 mph with arm side run. Mixed in a breaking ball showing tilt with tight spin and is starting to show feel for a changeup as well. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread out with high hands. Glides into stride as the hands get deep. Longer swing path with natural lift to the swing. Looks to impact the baseball out front and spray it back up the middle. Great Student. Named to '23 All American Games Top Prospect List.
