Grant Siegel is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Plantation, FL who attends University School Of Nova Southeastern University. Athletic frame with some wiry strength present and the build to hold more strength. Primary shortstop with good footwork and a compact arm across the diamond. Twitchy and athletic with good actions and general feel. Moves through the ball well with throws recorded up to 86 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Full swing path with a shorter load. Gets the barrel out well with fluidity to the stroke. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a simple, well-paced delivery. Loose arm stroke in the back with good balance throughout. Athletic delivery and can vary timing to mess with hitters. Fastball topped out at 87 mph and showed good arm side run. Throws a lot of strikes and leverages to get to the bottom third of the zone. Curveball has good spin and he can land for strikes. Very good feel for the strike zone with a strong two-pitch mix. Good student. Verbal commitment to Tulane.
