Tyler Armstrong is a 2022 1B/OF with a 6-0 225 lb. frame from Gibsonia, PA who attends Pine-Richland HS. Tyler is a broad shouldered, stout and strong player, who shows promise. In addition to his plus average ability on the diamond, Tyler is also a standout in the classroom. He ran a 7.85 60 yard dash. A primary 1B, Tyler shows routine ability around the bag. His measured approach plays well. His hands are soft and sure. His actions to throw are consistent and his 65 mph tosses are accurate. Tyler's strength shows through with his swing action. His physicality is obvious. He uses a hovering leg lift to load and trigger. His shorter stride helps get his strong hand moving and he gets his barrel to and through contact with leverage. Tyler has a solid fundamental approach that should serve him well during his last two years at the HS level.
