Brice Estep is a 2023 C/IF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Ft Mitchell, KY who attends Beechwood. Compact build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.52 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Employs a low side saddle start with clean reclining actions. Displayed clean footwork gaining ground well from behind the plate. Flashed quick transfers into throws with good arm strength topping out at 71 mph and posting a 2.01 second pop time. Also worked out defensively in the infield. Displayed smooth footwork working to and through the baseball to go along with good range working to both sides of the infield. Flashed clean glove actions and transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to first base topping out at 75 mph across the infield. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a small stride. Displayed a compact, inside hand path to the baseball. Utilizes a up the middle to pull side line drive approach with good barrel control creating consistently driven line drives throughout batting practice. Great student.
