Ryan Garcia is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Vail, AZ who attends Cienega. Large physical build with room to still strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm circle that fires through at a three-quarters arm slot. Pitched primarily out of the stretch, high leg lift before firing down the mound with some violence. Fastball up to 82 mph with some good natural arm side run to the plate. 1-to-7 shaped curveball with good depth to the plate. Looks to stay away from right handed hitters with his fastball. Also throws a 72 mph straight change. At first base, stays in front of the ball well and stays low on his throws to all bags. Understands his footwork off of the bag, shows accuracy even when spinning. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a long stride trigger. Hands stay inside of the ball well. Looks to use the middle of the field, good feel for the barrel with the ability to drive the ball into his opposite field gap. Great student in the classroom as well.
