Haden Hoff is a 2020 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Westminster, MD who attends Westminster High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Good runner, posted a 4.76 40-yard dash. Primary catcher, shows looseness behind the plate and gets low in crouch, quick arm with a lower slot at release, accurate throws to correct side of bag, receives out front with two hands but smooth transfer, shows carry on throws. Shorter and quick steps moving towards the ball in the outfield, remains tall through gather and release, compact arm action with high energy moving through the ball. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; wide base with balance to lower half. Shows ability to pull hands inside the baseball, quick hands and stays short to the ball. Utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing, shows strength coming off the barrel when squared, best contact to pull side with carry. Named to Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List. Very good student.
