Tyler Gonzalez is a 2019 3B/MIF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from North Reading, MA who attends Lawrence Academy. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front and shows softness to hands, nice footwork working to and through the ball, sound transfer out of glove with accuracy across the diamond, shows range and works on top of throws with carry across. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even base and a relaxed, high hand set in the box. Shifts well through lower half and swings with intent looking to impact the baseball. Generates lift to swing path with present bat speed through the zone, easy swing and gets extended out front with balance through swing. Good student. Named to 2018 Northeast Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Stetson.
