Chance Baker is a 2021 SS/3B, MIF with a 6-1 177 lb. frame from Buda, TX who attends Jack C Hays. Showed good speed and athleticism, running a 6.90 second sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop moves well to the ball and shows good range to the glove side. Takes longer strides with quick feet and shows some ability to pick the back hand. Flashes some carry to throws across the infield at 76 miles per hour and throws from multiple slots as well. Left-handed hitter with an open stance, late leg raise and developing extension through the point of contact. Shows some strength in the hands, executing a middle of the field approach with some consistency. Good student.
