Cal Kilgore is a 2021 C/3B/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Southwest. Strong build with room to fill out. Employs a slightly side saddle stance with confident receiving actions. Displayed clean footwork gaining ground well from behind the plate. Flashed clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and a quick release topping out at 79 mph and a 1.90 second pop time to second base. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a big leg lift trigger and a high hand and back elbow set up. Utilizes a middle to pull field approach with good bat speed and barrel control creating consistently driven line drives to the middle and pull fields when on time and squared. Displayed the ability to create jump off the barrel to all fields with consistency when on time and squared. Good student. Named to the 2019 Central Prospect Top Prospect List.
