Hunter Rigsby is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Mount Vernon, KY who attends Rockcastle County. XL frame with very good present size and physicality; very strong throughout body. Righthanded pitcher; pitches exclusively from the stretch, deep plunge through back into stabbing arm stroke, hides ball well up to near overtop slot, creates very good plane to the plate when working down in the zone. Good balance through delivery, landing spot will vary a bit at times. Fastball worked 82-86 mph and peaked at 87; flashed the ability to both cut it and run it to either side of the plate. Good feel for his curveball, thrown with 11/5 shape and highlighted by good spin and depth; also worked in a straight changeup that is aided by steepness of plane. Really dominated in his time on the mound. Good feel for three pitches with solid command. Named to 2017 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List; very good student.
