Reagan Matson is a 2020 C/3B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Olympia, WA who attends Olympia HS. Large frame with a long limbs and an athletic build. Frame projects for additional size with strength. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground while working out of crouched with quick, clean exchanges. Tends to finish off to glove side while releasing from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag topping at 70 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.08. Right handed hitter with an open stance and leg lift trigger. Works back side back to even at contact with a line drive barrel plane. Looks to drive through the inside of the baseball generating middle of the field to opposite field contact. Flashed some jump and carry to the opposite field gap when on time and squared. Tools will continue to develop with mechanical refinement and repetition. Good student as well.
