Jorge Cuevas is a 2020 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends Coronado. Medium frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.02 seconds. Hits from relaxed stance, loads well onto back side and into hands, middle-field approach with line drive swing plane, looseness to stroke coming through, will get long at times, covers plate well and shows ability to work to all fields. Graded out best defensively in the outfield, plays tall, moves to the ball well and takes clean routes, fields cleanly and makes clean transfers as well, balanced through stride, clocked up to 83 mph on throws. Also took infield reps, bends at waist and plays high through fielding, showed ability to throw with strength from multiple arm angles, clocked up to 83 mph across the diamond. Very good student.
