Matthew Lerner is a 2019 C/ with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Riverwood. Medium frame with a slender build and room to add. Ran a 7.16 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in an even stance. Short and compact arm action with a high three-quarters slot. Accurate throws with carry to the bag topping out at 78 miles per hour and popping a 2.03. Keeps balls lows. Righthanded hitter with a wide base. Lifted bat path with a middle away approach. Developing feel for the barrel. Righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery into a high leg kick. Lands in line with the plate. Medium arm circle with a three-quarters release. Average command of the fastball topping out at 78 miles per hour. Curveball with depth and a 12-to-6 shape. Very good student as well.
