Brendan Bagwell is a 2020 C/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Matthews, NC who attends Providence High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.70 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, does a nice job of receiving the ball out front and shows quickness to actions, gets ball out of glove well, gains short ground with lower half, gets tall on throws and can continue to incorporate additional lower half, throws show carry down to second base from a full arm action. Righthanded hitter, begins with an upright stance in the box and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Loads hands back at start of swing with long stride into contact, gets the barrel through the zone with a full and linear plane. Contact oriented approach, got the barrel to the ball and worked the middle of the field with comfort. Very good student.
