Kodi Deskins is a 2023 C/RHP/UTIL with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Oldsmar, FL who attends Clearwater Cntrl Cath. Strong and stocky frame. Ran an 8.00 second 60-yard dash, has run better in the past. Primary catcher, sets up higher in his stance and receives far out front, has a short arm action on his release with quick feet in his transition and a good amount of ground gained into his throws. Also pitched, has a similarly compact arm action and creates heavy run on his fastball while working in the bottom of the zone and mixing in three off-speed offerings. Right-handed hitter, sets up balanced and slightly open, is relaxed with his hands and shows good hand speed working on a direct and linear path to the ball; good looseness to the swing and generates contact to all parts of the field with some feel for the barrel.
