Nate Weeldreyer is a 2019 RHP/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Auburn, WA who attends Auburn Mountainview HS. Big and strong athletic build for his age, broad shoulders, projects well physically. High 3/4's arm slot, gets downhill well, arm works well coming through with a pretty low effort release, some front side collapse at release. Fastball up to 84 mph, saw him up to 87 mph a couple of weeks ago, fastball mostly straight with occasional sink. Curveball release not consistent yet but flashed good spin with some bite and 12/6 downer shape, solid second offering for his age. Threw strikes and competed well. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall open stance and looks to pull the ball, strength gives him some present bat speed and power potential. Good student, verbal commitment to Seattle.
