Stephen Hill is a 2016 3B/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Homer Glen, IL who attends Lockport Township East HS. Large frame with athletic, strong present build; body still projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.63 seconds. Hits from balanced stance with simpler mechanics through swing. Small stride, gets lower half involved and drives through contact well. Clean hand path with solid bat speed, shows good eye and overall approach at the plate. Flashed good ability to drive the ball into gaps. Worked out defensively at both 1B and in the infield. Showed lateral agility to both sides in the IF, quick first step with some fluidity, fields clean and shows ability to throw on the run. Topped out at 79 MPH across from SS. Good footwork around the bag at 1st base, good hands with consistent fielding mechanics. Turns well to make throws to 2B, quality arm strength on long throws to 3B. Topped at 76 MPH from 1B.
