2018 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Matthew Siverling is a 2019 LHP/OF, 1B with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Matthews, NC who attends Charlotte Christian HS. Recorded a 7.22 second 60-yard dash time. Large, projectable frame with a wiry build and lots of room to fill out. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a high three-quarters arm slot and a short, compact delivery. Tight release with a good tempo and a fastball up to 85 mph with life. Solid shape and feel for the 11/5 curveball. Flashed a nice changeup with good tumbling action too. Gets downhill and stays online, threw a cutter in the low-80s, and fills up the zone well with a good knowledge of how to pitch. Arm strength played nicely from secondary position of outfield. Lefthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a short stroke. Slightly open stance with the ability to get on plane nicely. Gets the barrel head out well with a solid gap to gap approach. Good student. Named to the PG Fall TP Showcase Top Prospect List. Signed with Virginia Tech.
