Max DeJong is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Hillgrove. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Works from the stretch with a simple set of mechanics with good direction to the plate, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot that creates very good plane to the plate. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, has been up to 92 mph at PG events regularly, has good angle to his fastball and can work it to both sides of the plate with intent. Big breaking low 70's curveball gets hitters off balance, shows some feel for his change up. Strike thrower with three pitches who knows how to work with hitter's eye level and timing. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia.
