Brett Zerbel is a 2021 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Augusta, GA who attends Augusta Christian Schools. Showcased a medium to large frame with a lean, athletic build showing some room to fill in the upper half. Primary Lefthanded pitcher showing a balanced motion while working with a belt high leg lift. Fast paced type tempo showing a longer arm action delivering from a three-quarter arm slot. Gets extended while drive with the lower half. Consistent mechanics showing to be repeatable. Competes at all times going right at hitters. More in the tank if need be. Fastball topping out at 83 mph with some arm side run working both sides of the plate. Great off speed stuff with a changeup showing advanced feel. Very projectable on the mound. Lefthanded hitter starting from a slightly wider stance with a closed front foot. Leg lift and puts it back down transferring weight well. Great bat speed showing pop to all parts of the field. Slight bat wrap over the head with a longer swing path showing good feel for the barrel. Middle to pull side approach. Outstanding Student. Named to Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
