Corey Johnson is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 6-0 187 lb. frame from Bayonne, NJ who attends Bayonne HS. Medium, strongly built, proportioned frame. Ran a 5.65 40 yard dash. Throws from an upright position in the outfield and has a short arm action. Makes accurate throws to the plate with developing arm strength. Bats right-handed, works from an even setup and gets on his front foot at times. Flashes solid bat speed and hits line drives to the middle of the field. Shows good life off the barrel. Also took the mound, topped at 72 mph from a high three-quarter arm slot. Has a simple leg raise delivery and a compact arm action. Mixes a short 11-5 curveball at 67 mph with tight rotation.
