2017 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Stephen Hrustich is a 2019 C/1B/3B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Lilburn, GA who attends Parkview HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.30 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front, shows a quick transfer and release out of the glove, gains ground with lower half but gets tall at release, accurate throws with present arm strength and carry down to second base. Switch-hitter, shows tools from both sides of the plate, more comfort from the right side at present. Incorporates physical strength well, creates lift and leverage in swing, creates nice bat speed and jump off the barrel, can continue to unlock additional strength with some refinement. Similar approach from the left side with a wide base, creates nice bat speed and swings with intent, longer path but able to turn on the ball to pull side with lift in swing. Very good student.
