2020 Sunshine Showcase at Prasco Park
Grant Comstock is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-6 205 lb. frame from Valparaiso, IN who attends Valparaiso. Ultra-athletic frame with long levers and present strength. Ran a 6.68 second sixty-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look, showing a fairly simple delivery with good lower half mechanics and good extension out in front. Fastball worked in the 85-to-88 mph range with heavy, downhill plane and life through the bottom of the zone. Throws strikes from a three-quarters slot, command to both sides of the plate and minimal effort through release. Exudes confidence with a come right at you mentality while flashing the potential for two plus secondary pitches. Changeup is slightly more advanced right now, flashing plus depth and tilt for numerous swings-and-misses while the curveball flashed downer action with high spin and tilt.
