Jake Hammond is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-3 235 lb. frame from Monroe, LA who attends Ouachita Parish HS. Has an extra large frame, extra large build, and clear sign of present strength throughout. Throws from a high, three-quarter arm slot with long arm action and good extension out front. Generates downhill plane with some tilt. Fastball showed natural cutting action, curveball has 12/6 shape with solid spin. At the plate, right-handed hitter that has a full swing with extension throughout, natural lift through the point of contact. From the infield, showed a solid glove and hands, big target over at position. Excellent student. Named to 2016 Sunshine South Top Prospect List.
