Tommy Roldan is a 2023 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Poolesville, MD who attends Georgetown Preparatory. Large and physically advanced frame. Ran a 7.05 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, athletic delivery that starts with a quick turn step up to a high leg lift, uses a clean arm action at take back up to a 3/4 arm slot into release, stays balanced on his back leg and drives down the mound well, hides the ball through the back and has some deception to his windup. Fastball jumps out of his hand up to 84 mph, displayed an ability to locate the heater to either side of the plate effectively as well as the ability to elevate the pitch, mixed in a slider with an advanced spin rate and tightness, changeup has good armside run and sinking action to it, three pitch mix for strikes and projects well on the bump. Secondary first baseman, athletic actions around the bag with arm strength and the ability to work through the baseball cleanly. Also worked out in the outfield, loose arm up up to a 3/4 arm slot, online release with similar arm strength as on the mound. Lefthanded hitter, power approach with bat speed and an easy stroke, drove the ball with consistency during batting practice, whips barrel well and projectable strength at impact. Outstanding student. Named to 2019 14U National Top Prospect List.
