Ryan Lynch is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Granger, IN who attends Penn. Strong athletic build. Full arm action in back, over the top arm slot with lots of downhill to the plate, tends to spin off his front side on release. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, mostly straight. Tends to slow his arm on all his off speed pitches but mixes his pitches up and throws off hitter's timing. Slider is his best present off speed pitch with some side to side depth from a slightly lower release point, slows his arm most significantly on his change up. Threw strikes with all his pitches. Good athlete with some two-way potential, ran a 6.75 sixty and had clean footwork through the ball in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread open stance, has good timing in his swing with a smooth, tension free swing, line drive swing plane, works pull side to mid field. Very good student, verbal commitment to Notre Dame.
