Miles Allen Blackwell is a 2021 C/3B with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Harvard-Westlake. Medium frame with a strong build. Primary catcher with a low, athletic stance while receiving. Gains some ground to bag with smooth paced, clean footwork. Efficient glove to hand exchanges while working through transfer and released from a compact arm slot. Throws produced softer, accurate carry to the bag. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly crouched stance and simple front side trigger. Lower half worked to contact with rotational actions. Direct hand path to contact with a naturally leveraged plane. Looked to turn the barrel generating solid bat speed with strength when squared. Tools will continue develop with maturity and repetition. Very good student as well.
