Ross Kramer is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Urbandale. Large, slender frame with present wiry strength. Body projects for added build. Right handed hitter with an open, tall stance and higher hand set. Moves into contact well with quick lower half actions. Fluid line drive swing plane with the intent to hit the baseball hard to the gaps. Stays inside the baseball at contact and shows plus barrel control. Hitting tools project with continued physical maturity. Worked out defensively from the outfield. Aggressively closes on baseball with smooth, athletic actions through transition. Clean glove work and throws from a high 3/4 slot with a high energy release that generates plus arm whip. Plus arm strength with on line carry and accuracy, topped at 91 mph from the outfield. Also pitched showing a high 3/4 arm slot producing good downhill angle. Fastball has some sink when down in the zone ranging from 85-87 mph. One curveball in his quick inning or work with 11/5 shape at 69 mph. Pounded the zone with the fastball often. Projects as a solid next level outfielder with projection on the mound as well. Good student.
