Benji Brokemond is a 2019 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Walter Payton College Prep. Tall and slender athletic build, looks taller than listed, very projectable physically. Outstanding runner, 6.39 in the sixty. Has young footwork in the infield, soft hands at the ball when on balance and fielding out front, tends to drop arm slot throwing, has the athleticism to play the middle infield and will improve with increased repetitions, also has natural centerfield tools. Right handed hitter, simple and repeatable trigger and load, solid approach to the ball, flashes some bat speed when he's staying directional to contact, tends to loose his back side at times and lose that direction and balance. Young player with a high physical ceiling. Excellent student.
