Chase Cryer is a 2014 SS/2B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Belton, TX who attends Belton HS. Medium athletic build, has some compact strength. RIght handed hitter, very good swing mechanics, plus fundamentals and balance, quick short hand path to the ball, very consistent hard line drive contact, ball carries well off the barrel, high average hitter with gap power. 7.03 runner, second base tools defensively, works through the ball well, quick sure hands on hips, shows some lateral range. Aggressive baserunner with baseball instincts who plays above his tools and can hit. Good student.
