Hoolahan is a 2005 C from Vineland, NJ with a mature 6'0"/195 pound body. He is a solid defensive catcher with good lateral movement and above average blocking skills. He topped out at 71 mph with a 3/4 arm slot with good accuracy. He consistently popped 2.05-2.10, with a quick transfer and release. At the plate, he hits from an open stance with a linear flat swing. He makes solid contact with line drives to all fields. He has good power potential to the pull side. He has a tough bulldog mentality, and he is a leader on the field. David is an excellent student.
