Drew Veatch is a 2023 SS/OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from El Dorado, KS who attends El Dorado. Recorded a 6.76 second 60 yard dash time, showcasing great speed. Long and lanky build with plenty of room to fill out, well proportioned body that projects very well. Primary shortstop with good feel for the position, has sound footwork and moves with effortless actions across the infield. Hands work well to both sides, shows present body control and first step quickness. Solid round overall, is light on his feet and has fluidity to his actions. Worked out in the outfield as well, showed good quickness and agility with a controlled approach, the athleticism really stands out. Right-handed hitter with a wide stance and balanced base. Utilizes a simple leg lift trigger and holds his hands high. Has significant loft to the bat path and does a good job of driving the lower half and incorporating it into the swing. Impressive and athletic actions in the box with quickness and strength to the swing. Great student. Named to the 2021 Sunshine Midwest Showcase Top Prospect List.
