Bailey Welu is a 2023 C/OF from Dubuque, IA who attends Wahlert High School. Bailey a vocal leader on the field and demonstrated some great athleticism during the organizational combine. She is a right handed stand in hitter who packs a punch behind the ball int he box. Understanding the importance of utilizing her lower half, Bailey does a great job firing her legs in her swing, Mainly a pull side hitter, but does a good job getting her hands to the inside pitch quickly. Defensively Bailey is a natural vocal leader on the diamond. Did a great job communicating the entire combine and letter her presence be known. Her arm strength and accuracy two of her biggest strengths defensively were very evident in her showcasing behind the plate and in the outfield. I am excited to see where Bailey takes her game going in to her senior year of high school.
