2023 PG Softball Des Moines Iowa Scouting Combine
Offense- Right handed hitter who has a powerful swing. Generates a lot of energy in her swing. Right now her power is to the pull side. Super athletic kid with a great build.
Defensive - This P/1B fields both the pitching position and first base position well. She has great range and great glove work to go along with it. On the pitching mound she comes off aggressive and isn’t afraid to play her position. At first base she sits back and makes sure to stretch to the ball to help get the out.
Pitching- Right handed pitcher who throws a fastball, change-up, Curve-ball, Rise-ball, and Screw-ball. Has a good motion, decent pop on her pitches. Nice finish and resistance. Change-up has a nice speed change but was staying a little up in the zone. If she can keep that pitch lower in the zone, it will really fool hitters. Curve-ball was kept low in the zone and was a solid pitch. Moved well and finished in the river. Rise-ball was decent. She had great posture during this pitch. She will see more jump as she tightens up the spin. Screw-ball ran inside to righties really well. Solid inside corner domination with this pitch.
