Jace Diaz is a 2027 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Queen Creek, AZ who attends Casteel. Slender young athletic build with lots of time and room to get stronger. 7.20 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has very good actions with lower half athleticism and balance, going to have plenty of range to both sides, light on his feet and shuffles well into his throws, good feel for the glove as he's always in position to field it, has some arm strength with more to come, makes accurate throws. Good bet to keep improving defensively as the strength and physical maturity kick in. Left handed hitter, hits from a deep hand load with a leg lift timer, long and smooth rotational swing, has quick hands and develops bat speed with present gap to gap power, squares up the ball frequently. Lots of physical projection in all areas. Excellent student. Named to the Ohio Valley Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
