Max Mendes is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Lemoore, CA who attends San Joaquin Memorial. Medium frame with a lean, athletic type build. Ran a 7.18 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a higher leg lift as he turns the back shoulder away a bit. Medium arm circle in the back as he delivered from a high three-quarter slot. Whip to the arm and shows more velocity in the tank down the road. Did a good job of staying direct to the dish and got over the front side well. Repeatable in his actions and worked with an overall simple delivery. Fastball up to 82 mph with arm side run. Mixed in a sweeping slider and a late fading changeup. Proved to have swing and miss type stuff. Secondary Third Baseman, sitting back on the baseball as he gathers out front with confidence in glove. Accurate to the bag as he showed some arm strength, throwing it 74 mph. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread out and balanced in the stance. Slight bat wrap over the helmet as the hands get deep. Strength in the hands showing as he found loud barrels when he squared it up. Outstanding Student.
